PRESENTATION OF THE ICPS

Clinical research is closely related to the constant advances in medicine.
Our center is involved in substantial research activities. Although time-consuming, our research activities enable us to offer our patients the latest interventional cardiology treatment strategies.

Over the last 6 years the ICPS has been involved in more than 100 clinical research trials including: ARTS I and II, RAVEL, REALITY, SYNTAX, SPIRIT WOMEN, PARTNER.

In order to update our knowledge, all ICPS physicians participate in international medical meetings (Congress of the European Society of Cardiology, Scientific Sessions of the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology, Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics etc…). ICPS physicians also publish articles in international medical journals.

Several times a year, we organize educational meetings in order to share the information and data collected from the latest national and international cardiology meetings.

We also take part in many international events during which live case demonstrations are relayed to the audience with prior consent of the patients.

In addition, we offer a one or two year postgraduate training program to young interventional cardiologists from abroad, which explains why you may hear both French and English spoken in the catheterization laboratory.

As medicine progresses step by step, our role is to improve patient care and contribute to the training of new medical teams.

The www.bifurc.net website presents clinical cases of coronary bifurcations and gives all cardiologists the opportunity to contribute to the sharing of knowledge and know how.
