MRI allows the analysis of most cardiac structures (muscle, valves…). MRI can be very useful in patients who have suffered a myocardial infarction by accurately showing the ‘damage’ done to the myocardium.

The presence of coronary stenosis can be detected by injecting a product which accelerates the heart rhythm and reproduces the effects of physical exertion (STRESS MRI).
