AFTER THE PROCEDURE

Following the procedure, you will spend one hour in the recovery room before returning to your room or to the coronary care unit where your electrocardiogram will be monitored.
During this monitoring period, you must inform the staff immediately should you feel the slightest pain in your chest (a cardiologist is available on site night and day)
According to the vascular access through which your angioplasty has been performed (wrist or groin), you will be asked not to move for a few hours in order to avoid the occurrence of bleeding
You will be able to eat and drink 2 hours after the procedure.
You may be allowed to stand up later in the day or you may have to wait until the following morning.
