WHAT ARE THE INHERENT RISKS ?

There are risks inherent in this intervention, given that calcified fragments around the valve may become detached due to the passage of the balloon and subsequently migrate in other arteries such as cerebral arteries.
The main risk is the occurrence of a stroke (cerebral vascular accident).
This intervention is intended for patients who are considered too high-risk for surgery.
