During the first 24 to 48 hours, you should avoid any physical strain, especially in the wrist (radial puncture) or thigh joint (femoral puncture), and resume physical activities progressively. A small hematoma (bruise) may form at the puncture site. This should disappear within a fortnight.

Do not hesitate to call the cardiologist who performed the procedure, or your consulting cardiologist, should the hematoma increase in size and cause you any alarm.
