WHAT IS CORONARY ANGIOGRAPHY ?

Coronary angiography is an X-ray examination allowing the visualization of the coronary arteries which feed the heart.  Possible narrowings caused by atherosclerosis can thus be clearly visualized.  Angiographic analysis of these lesions enables your physician to propose the most appropriate treatment.
This procedure is completely painless. You may feel a slight pricking sensation in the groin or wrist area when local anesthesia is administered.
