BEFORE THE EXAMINATION

Peripheral angiography requires a short hospitalization, but patients may sometimes be discharged on the same day in similar conditions of optimal safety.
The patient should not eat anything after midnight when a procedure has been scheduled early the next morning.
If the procedure is performed in or after the late morning, the patient is allowed to eat a light breakfast.

You must inform the anesthetist of any history of allergy to iodine and give him a list of your current medications, especially if you have diabetes or have been prescribed anticoagulants.
